Lauren Crawford
Lauren has been part of the Lifesaving Hearts family as one of our CPR instructors, and we are so thrilled to see her lead the charge on our brand-new North Georgia location. She brings incredible depth and warmth to everything she teaches.
As a former firefighter/EMT, BLS Instructor, CPST and longtime educator, Lauren previously served as an infant safety educator where she helped countless new and expecting families feel confident and prepared. She knows this material inside and out, and she has a gift for making parents feel truly at ease.

Who is this class for?
This course is designed for expectant parents and families with babies under one year old. Whether you’re a first-time parent, a couple preparing for a new arrival, or a new mom looking to feel more confident — this class is for you. Partners are absolutely welcome and encouraged to attend!
What is covered in the class?
Our Infant Safety Course is a comprehensive, hands-on class covering:
- Safe sleep practices and crib safety
- Swaddling techniques
- Car seat safety
- Infant CPR basics and rescue breathing
- Choking hazard prevention and response
- Childproofing your home room by room
How long is the class?
This is a 4-hour hands-on class. We cover a lot of ground, but we keep it engaging and practical the whole way through — you’ll leave feeling genuinely prepared, not overwhelmed.
Where is the class held?
Our Infant Safety Classes are offered at two locations so you can choose what works best for you:
- Buford, GA — our main office location
- Northeast Georgia (Cornelia, GA) — hosted at Lord’s Vineyard Community Church, serving the Habersham County area and surrounding communities

How many people are in the class?
We keep our class sizes intentionally small so every family gets personalized attention and feels comfortable asking every question. Class size limits are:
- Northeast Georgia location — maximum 20 participants
- Buford location — maximum 10 participants
We strongly recommend registering early — spots fill fast!
What should I bring?
Just bring yourself (and your partner if attending together)! We provide all class materials and handouts. If you are adding the car seat installation add-on, bring your car seat with you. Wear comfortable clothing since parts of the class are hands-on. And bring all your questions — there are no silly ones here!
What is the car seat add-on?
We offer Guided Car Seat Installation Sessions with Lauren Crawford, our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST). Lauren will personally install your car seat and walk you through proper use, positioning, and fit — a hands-on, one-on-one experience. Sign-up sheets will be available during the infant safety course, or you can express your interest ahead of time using the form at the bottom of this page. Slots are limited, so don’t wait!
